Skyguard ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Skyguard mobile application and related services (the "Service"). Skyguard monitors your booked flights for price drops and files for airline credits on your behalf. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile details when you create an account.
  • Booking & Flight Information: Details extracted from the flight confirmation emails you forward to us — including airline, flight numbers, travel dates, confirmation codes, and the fare you paid.
  • Fare Monitoring Data: Price history and fare changes we track for your booked flights in order to detect drops and file claims.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens.
  • Usage Data: App interactions, features used, screens viewed, and timestamps of activity.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Monitor your booked flights for price drops around the clock.
  • File airline credit claims on your behalf when a qualifying drop is detected.
  • Send notifications about price drops, filed claims, and recovered credits.
  • Provide personalized savings estimates based on your travel patterns.
  • Improve and optimize the Service's performance and features.
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support inquiries.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

  • Airlines & Claim Processing: The booking details necessary to submit a price-drop or credit claim to the relevant airline on your behalf.
  • Service Providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, analytics, and notification providers.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Booking and fare data is retained for up to 12 months after the travel date to support claims and your savings history. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure server infrastructure, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Opt out of push notifications through your device settings.
  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties to function, including airlines (to file claims), cloud and analytics providers, and the Apple App Store (for subscriptions and billing). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties and encourage you to review their policies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
